The Waldorf Astoria Hotel is an Art Deco icon in New York City and served as the inspiration for this brand new 43 story hotel in the heart of Qatar. The Tiffany & Co. clock in the grand lobby was especially commissioned for the Waldorf Astoria and is the largest Tiffany has ever built.
Bespoke custom hand painted De Gourney wallpaper with references to literary motifs from leather bound books, grand architectural proportions and geometry, carefully selected design motifs and traditional materials, Amazonite marble, hand carved plaster murals, eglomise and straw marquetry are the essential design elements applied as an homage to the Art Deco era.
