- Barcelona -
The brief called for 89 Mediterranean sea front apartments that would appeal to local and international clientele.
In collaboration with renowned French architect Odile Decq, Studio Arc designed Barcelona’s tallest modern residential building with an intention of distilling the essence of the city into a timeless sanctuary.
Timber floors run through each apartment and out onto the terraces to accentuate the indoor-outdoor living characteristic of Catalonian culture. A loft like approach to planning provided large, flexible open spaces flooded with natural sunlight. This contemporary style was complimented by use of white fixtures in functional spaces, and inclusion of fittings that recede into the background. In this way, we provided a blank canvas for the buyer to allow for personalisation and upmost comfort.
Studio Arc’s inspiration for the Antares marketing suites came from the rich heritage of Catalan art and culture. Interior palettes were based on our interpretation of well known modernist abstract artists Antoni Tàpies, Eduardo Chillida and Joan Miró, through form, colour and texture.
